Acompany in Dubai has purchased one of our vaporization plant to be introduced in the production cycle of furniture for hotel chains.
A simple and safe system
The plant purchased by the customer has a single chamber and is equipped with all the safety devices, such as a calibrated overpressure valve, required in the case of plants operating with steam.
It is equipped with a quick-closing door, an extractable trolley and an electrical panel with thermostat.
The steam treatment of wood
The structure of the wood is, with a very simplified definition, like a set of straws held together by a substance called lignin.
Thanks to the superheated steam in our plants, the lignin softens and the wood can be bent without difficulty.
The bending of wood by vaporization is a very old process, used for example in the construction of wooden boats, but which remains current thanks to the introduction of this technology, in the production of fine furniture, made with essences such as beech and oak, but also the exotic rattan.
The treatment time depends on the wood essence and thickness: a practical rule of thumb is to vaporize the wood for about one hour for every 20-25 mm of thickness, regardless of the width of the semi-finished product.
